The SAS Analyst will work with customers from Marketing and Client Services to provide business analytics on New Product Development, Product/ Program Evaluation, and Benefit Plan Performance Analysis for a growing healthcare benefits company.  The focus is on developing operational insights that can be leveraged into new product development and/ or process improvements.  The ad hoc reporting, analysis and data requests are an important part of the job.

Role(s):                        SAS Data Analyst
Responsibilities: 

• Reports to BI Development Manager
• Respond to adhoc project requests and run routine reports in SAS.
• Analyze healthcare benefit data
• Evaluate the business value of benefit plan data
• Create large data sets from available data sources and shape it into usable data for specific business analysis as part of the deliverable to an analysis or data request.
• Assist with analysis to solve business problems, create new business understanding and improve operational results.
• Use MS Excel including pivot tables and macros to analyze data
• (Possibly) create PowerPoint presentations for other departments using data from SAS or Excel tables
• Demonstrate an ability to work cooperatively with others.
• 50% SAS, 40% Excel, 10% PowerPoint analysis
