SAS (Remote) Healthcare SAS/IntrNet Applications Developer

For Large Healthcare Insurance Provider in PA

Job Request for 1 Position:

A (remote) SAS/IntrNet Applications Developer, ideally with Healthcare Insurance data experience.  4-month, FTE (40 hours/week).

Job Title:

SAS/IntrNet Applications Developer, ideally with Healthcare Insurance data experience.

End Client:

Leading healthcare insurance provider in PA.

Contract Start / End Date:

Start:  As soon as Consultant is screened and selected, and contract finalized.  Client is anxious. 

End:   End of April, 2012. 

Contract Duration:

640 hours or more, depending on start date.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Job Description:

Background and Requirements:

Background:
Customer is using SAS9 on a SUN Solaris environment with Apache most likely as the web server. Even though they have EBI installed they are currently not using it for this project. The technology they are using (and MUST use) for this project is SAS/IntrNet.

Requirements – Experienced Applications Developer with:

  • Extensive experience with SAS/IntrNet.
  • Experience with webservers such as Apache.
  • Experience with older CGI web technologies.
  • Experience to generate SAS reporting through the using of SAS coding.
  • Experience parameterizing IntrNet code to allow chaining of programs together resulting in an IntrNet web application.
  • Experience creating web output using SAS DATA step, _WEBOUT & PUT statements to embed custom <HTML> tags within SAS code.
  • Experience creating hyperlinks within a HTML generating SAS DATA step programs that would open graphs, charts, other IntrNet programs, etc.
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript and embedding that within SAS DATA step programs with PUT statements, HTML tags, _WEBOUT, etc.
  • JavaSripting could range from easy to complicated depending on reporting requirements.
  • Extensive experience with SAS/Macro language and Macro variables.
  • Extensive experience dealing SAS Quoting from within an IntrNet/Web perspective.

 

Work Location:

All remote, with exception to the first 2 weeks of the project being on-site, in PA.  (Client will provide you with laptop for remote connection.)

Notes:
  • Experience working with a Healthcare Insurance provider data is desired.
  • Basic SQL may be needed.  Data sources are Teradata and Oracle.
