Job Description

Background: SAS Developer/Administrator for one of their customers. The role would include administration of SAS services for existing risk reporting requirements, BookRunner application installations, and enhancements to existing SAS ETL processes and analysis projects.

Start date: January 3rd, 2012

End date: July 27th, 2012 (potential for extension to Dec 28, 2012)

Location: Calgary, AB Canada (100% onsite – SAS Canada will cover associated expenses)

Effort: Full-time

Activities will include but are not limited to:

• Monitoring & supporting daily/monthly ETL processes written in SAS code, DI Studio, and UNIX shell scripts.
• Developing and testing enhancements to SAS analysis projects
• Converting and enhancing existing SAS ETL process from PL/SQL to BookRunner web services
• Installing BookRunner upgrades
• Installing maintenance releases and hotfixes of SAS software (server and client)
• Maintaining user accounts and security
• Migrating XML between BookRunner environments

Technical Skills/Business Knowledge Needed

• Proficiency in Oracle SQL
• Proficiency in Solaris / Linux environments
• Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and job scheduling
• Proficiency in coding for one or more procedural programming languages

Nice to have skills/experience:

• SAS coding experience
• SAS development & maintenance tool experience (Enterprise Guide, DI Studio, Risk Dimensions, and Management Console)
• O&G Industry experience
• Understanding of risk analytics concepts
• Code versioning (CVS)
